Guides & tutorials

Actionable documentation to prep and showcase your memories.

Follow these guides to achieve the best upload quality and to make the most of your revived photos in print, social media, or ceremonies.

Scanning best practices

Set your scanner to at least 600 DPI, disable auto-brightness, and clean the glass between each capture. If the print is warped, take multiple scans and keep the flattest version. Smartphone captures should be taken in indirect daylight with the photo lying flat on a matte, neutral background.

File preparation checklist

Crop extraneous borders before uploading so the subject fills the frame. Straighten the image, remove colour casts with gentle white balance adjustments, and export in JPEG (quality ≥ 90). Only use lossless compression if the file still exceeds 10 MB.

Sharing the results

We recommend storing the restored files in a cloud drive with automatic backup, printing on archival paper for gifts, and using the animated clip for digital slideshows.

Do I need to mail the originals?

No. Keep your physical photos safe at home. Organise your scans by family member or event, and we will take care of the digital restoration end-to-end.
